Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

If you read my recent tweet where I rambled how I have found out that eye liners don't suit my eyes then I know you must be laughing now,,like whats the need of this post on eye liner then,,,
the need is there,, because its a pretty shade and I don't want any of you to miss out on this one..

Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

Its a pretty color, a deep purple shade with no shimmer and soft creamy texture,at times it looks like brown too, under my water line it does,,
as the name suggests,,glide,,it does glide smoothly.

It looks nice on my eyes, actually it suits brown eyes so I was happy :D

The texture is creamy, it does not smudge on my eyes,,but made them a bit watery.

The packaging is fine,,practical with the shade showing on the bottom of the pencil.

what the packaging states :

~ Extremely soft and outstanding smooth formula, almost like a liquid liner.
~ Easy to blend shortly after application
~ Waterproof, super longwear, no transfer and smudge-proof.

~ Shade is Prunella 05 , a very pretty purple~egg plant shade

~Its a gorgeous shade and is a nice color even for every day fun wear,, its not a office wear color but ya a fun shade for outings. I use very basic neutral shades as eye shadow on my lids, but as a liner it is a welcome change,,but then well,,who m I kiddin...m off liners as of now.
see it doesn't suit my eyes much ,, :\ I think it makes them appear small, when they are not actually.

p.s. I threw some 26 makeup/beauty products a day before yesterday because all they had were different compounds of paraben,  I felt good , It didn't pain me.
Paraben has some connection with it being a initiator for cancer. I go numb as read/write/hear the C word. I lost someone so very special due to it few years back, the worst thing is that you don't really know how it starts,, so for this very reason I threw everything and I have thought of checking the ingredients first,,the cute packagings are no more attractive to me,,the ingredients are... :)

On a happy note :) I am on a saree spree these days :) woohoooo!!! 3 sarees in making ;) one is a new buy ~ a chiffon saree in baby pink with crystal and stone work :D , a light purple-silver saree,,much like the one Priyanka Chopra wore in Dostana , its a decent one :) and my mum's wari saree (wari is a punjabi word , it means the clothes and jewellery the groom's side collects for the bride) its a gorgeous royal blue saree in self  print with a dull silver designer palla (the one which falls down from the shoulder ; outer end of the saree) :D  :D m so happy :D , will show them once the finishing work is completed.

Okay,,this was a L O N G post :) but you know something, I treat all of you as my friends and I feel like we all are sitting at one place and listening to one another's giggles and talks :)

oh ya...
Recommendation : get this one,,even if you are just a black eyeliner girl..it will be a good start towards the colored ones.

This pencil does not have any parabens in it :)

Price ~ Around INR 375 , yep the price has increased :\
Quantity ~ 1.1 gm

Thanks

Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner ~ Black ~ Photos, Review and Swatch

My hunt for the perfect eyeliner never seems to stop, I really don't know what to do. OK, I guess you all can help me,,,Right??
Here's what I want,,
1) Deepest Black shade (very few shades in black suits my eye shade :o)
2) Thick consistency
3) Glossy
4) Liquid/Gel/Pencil ,, just anything

So, OK,,,leave aside my wishes for a mere liner,,

Here's what I wanna say towards The Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black :)

Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner ~ Black ~ Photos, Review and Swatch

In my search for the perfect one,,I stumbled upon this particular beauty at the Revlon counter, when I swatch it on my hand it came not so jet black but I loved the creaminess it had,,so I bought it,,

So, this eyeliner is all about :

1) The creaminess ~ yep its very creamy,,I just love how it glides ever so smoothly on my lids

2) The shade ~ Black but not very black

3) The shine ~ Average,,not too glossy

4) The staying power ~ Stays long,,but fades a little

5) The smudging effect ~ very creamy so very smudgy

6) The packaging ~ very nice packaging, it has a twist up opening and no,,unlike the Maybelline kajal or any other twist up packaging the product does not twists back inside,,so you have to be extremely careful with it.

7) The shelf life ~ 2.5 years

8) The quantity ~ .01 Oz/.28gm

9) Price ~ INR 475

Recommendation : yes please if you like creamy black twist up open eyeliners,, no please if you want extra glossy liners (deep shiny black).
I don't know whether to call it a positive or a negative as it can be removed in one light swipe with a tissue.

Faces Cosmetics India ~ Long wear eye pencil ~ Metal Brown and Turquoise Blue

Faces is a Canadian cosmetic brand which has started its operations in Indian in 2011 only.
So, if you are unfamiliar with this brand but want to try something different then do give it a try(other than these liners :\ ). I suppose you can find these in shopping malls in your city quite easily.

Metal Brown and Turquoise Blue
Long wear eye pencil ~ A whole lot of shades are introduced in this range ranging from blacks to brown to purples, pinks, blues, greens, magenta and what not.
I picked up two shades ~ Metal Brown and Turquoise Blue

Metal Brown and Turquoise Blue

~ My take with it ~

Metal Brown is a deep metallic shade of Brown with a little glitter infused into it. Its smooth and creamy and gliding it on eyelids is easy,,but wait for the things sour,,written down below.
I picked it up,,cos I wanted to try a brown liner and didn't knew much about faces either,,

Turquoise Blue is a deep navy+turquoise shade of blue,,same like the brown one,,this one too had a little glitter infused into it.

Faces Long wear eye pencil ~ Metal Brown and Turquoise Blue

~ The things sweet ~

~ color payoff is super
~ creamy texture
~ sturdy packaging
~ removing it is not a hassle
~ remains intact for around 5~6 hrs,,after that it starts getting all dark-black-brown (i knw its funny but true)

Swatch ~ Turquoise Blue (upper one) & Metal Brown (Lower one)

 ~ The things sour ~

~ pencil breaks off while sharpening
~ always messes when trying to apply a thin line on the eyelid
~ more product is used than required cos of the creamy texture
~ no value for money for this one
~ looks chunky when applied hurriedly,, need  to be applied with precision

The messy sharpening issue

Net weight ~ 1.15 gm
Price ~ Rs. 249

Product life ~ 18 mths approx (not so sure)

Recommendation ~ Please skip this one

Thanks
