Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara ~ Pictures, review and eye swatch ~ Its's PINK ♥ ♥ ♥

Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara ~ Pictures, review and eye swatch ~ Its's PINK ♥   ♥   ♥

Since the first very moment I read about this mascara I knew I wanted it.
I am not addicted to pink but somehow I was drawn towards it ,,
I am glad I bought it.

I have long lashes with decent volume but I love drama eyes ,, fluttery lashes big black & beautiful.
I wanted more volume to my lashes which I couldn't get through Maybelline colossal volume express mascara or from Lakme Lash Artist. So, in the search of a volumizing mascara I chanced upon this and I tell you I lub it

As per Bourjois website :

My take on it :

  • It gives length and it gives killer volume ~ Trust me on this. If you have sparse lashes and would love to have dramatic lashes making you look oh~so~gorgeous then my dear this is for you !
  • The tiny lashes that are barely there but still there ~ This mascara would evenly coat those lashes giving them proper definition.
  • Its pink ~ pink ~ omg pink ~ for the pink lovers :)
  • The volume which it gives in one coat is in my opinion more than sufficient for daily wear, so the more coats you apply the more gorgeous fluttery looking will your eyes be.
  • The 500 tiny bristles are good for everything,, they will coat your lashes , separating them nicely and you won't get clumpy lashes.
  • Its water proof ~ I was in rain for an hour with this on ~ and my eyes were perfect. It didn't run off at all.
  • The bottle is sturdy and closes with a ~tuck~ sound.. I do open n close it a couple of times just to listen to that :D weird ? Nope ;)
  • The wand is pretty long. Of good material .
  • The bottle is quite long, I wasn't expecting it to be that long. (okay it's not that long but it still somehow looks huge maybe cos of it having a flat belly :p )
  • You need to work your hands fast and not wait for mascara to dry before applying second coat. It's important. really.
  • Don't flutter your lashes much while its still wet. You might get tiny spots of mascara on your eye lid this way.
  • If you are going to apply many coats,, lets say 3-4 then be ready for a heavy eye effect. But dun worry you won't feel anything after two or three minutes.
  • It doesn't have any smell so yayiee :)
  • It fans out your lashes pretty well.
  • I didn't curl my lashes so as to see its curling properties and as you can see my lashes look pretty curled up.
  • It doesn't clump my lashes at all.

A few glitches

  • The wand has zero bristles right on its tip therefore it catches lot of mascara liquid there and since the wand is long you might transferring it on your face while applying mascara.
  • Nope, nothing else. ;)

All in all I really really like it. You can see the pics and observe how much definition and volume it is giving to my lashes. I am in lub with it and I would really say that it is a Must Buy.

Price : 595 INR
Qty : 10 ml
Shade : 51 Max Black

Recommendation : Yes please, Its pink, its perfect, It will give you the most gorgeous looking eye lashes ever.

It doesn't feel heavy on your eyes (after 2 mins). Though It doesn't look all that natural but still it looks pretty.

Bourjois Blush ~ 92 Santal ~ Review and Swatch ~ and my twist to it !

This song touched my heart like pure love. To even say that I love it,,,,  is in itself an understatement ,, you can find me listening this song any time of the day ,, The movie,, well where to start about it ! I sometimes watch it at 2 in the morning,, I feel alone or I feel loved ,, this movie works its magic everytime. I express with my eyes more than with words. People say that I talk with my eyes . :) I have no clue which eyeshadow suits my eye color. I tried google but nothing inspired/excited me. When I pictured myself wearing eyeshadow it has always been THIS, orangish-brown, plum-purple and shimmery brown. Everything apart from these,,well I cringe at the thought of it. Of course when I comment on Blogger's post with their vibrant eyemakeup and say that '' you look fab'' I mean it!! I like those eye looks on other people, on me na na na .. Standing on makeup counter and imagining this shadow and that shadow on my eyes does help :) So, when I was on the Bourjois counter asking for a particular shade number which they didn't have in stock I asked them to show me the open palette that was kept in their makeup stand. I had already decided on buying the smoky eye trio,,so the sales girl knew which shades I wanted. I looked at the pan of this 92 santal, took a swatch on my hand and immediately said I want this Shadow,, twinkling eyes,,smile on my lips,,I had found THE shadow for me ;)
(Background ) I had to catch a movie which was going to start in 5 mins in the same mall where I was doing all this shopping. I was hurrying like anything,,my cell kept ringing,,i kept on getting threatening calls,,calls from my peeps asking me to come up for the show,,(as if they will disown me ;) I paid the bill and ran and ran . I like running .
(mins later) So, bored of the movie I opened my bag and with the help of the light on my cell  phone, I started checking out the stuff I bought (was ensuring that they gave me everything ! whether I took back my credit card from the billing counter ! what was the free gift ! ooohhh I spent this much :o ! ) ,, I saw a lil pot with blush written on it,, I thought I got blush as a free gift. hmphh why why would they give a blush as a free gift ! I read the name 92 SANTAL and damnnnn!! I got cheated !! Or m I so LOST while shopping ! The shade which I loved was of a Blush not a eyeshadow. The sales girl zipped up her mouth to sell another of their product. I got cheated ! Yet I am Happy ;) I love this shade. I don't wear blush often. It's like only for parties. I used the blush as a shadow and I am having no complaints. It works fine as a eye shadow. Stays put for long ~ 5 hrs ~ Doesn't crease. Has fine shimmer . I LUB it ;) Take a look at the pics.
I didn't care to conceal my dark circles. Why? cos I didn't feel like. Why m I having dark circles ? well... I read till wee hours in the morning + I am not keeping well since past one month. so, please excuse okie :)
I am looking pink/orange/coral over here and I dunno the reason. Plus I accidently deleted all the good ones.
stop making excuses Namita !!
I used : 1. Lakme perfect radiance compact as a base (I am yet to buy an eyeshadow base) 2. 92 SANTAL Blush by Bourjois as an eyeshadow (miss smarty pants ! or...) 3. Lakme Lash Artist mascara (I need Bourjois one/ Mayebelline one got over last week) 4. Lotus Herbal kajal (LUB it) 5. Revlon Custom eye palette ~      Darkest brown with light shimmer as a eye liner      Shimmery champagne as a highlighter 6.http://vivaciousflair.blogspot.in/2012/04/small-little-haul.html 7. Vega lip filler brush for picking up eye liner shadow 8. Fingers for applying the highlighter
The blush is good, I  have reviewed Lilas D'or another shade from the same range over here  . Have written about the quality and everything in that . I applied it on my cheeks as a bronzer and it looked F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S (only thing is I don't apply bronzer/blush daily,,once in a blue moon case) Price ~ INR 575 Thanks Namita :) Dream some more today .. (p.s. the Blush pot had the eyeshadow applicator in it and not the small blush brush . Man!! She sure tried to fool me!! well... you know everything now.. ;) )

Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

If you read my recent tweet where I rambled how I have found out that eye liners don't suit my eyes then I know you must be laughing now,,like whats the need of this post on eye liner then,,,
the need is there,, because its a pretty shade and I don't want any of you to miss out on this one..

Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

Its a pretty color, a deep purple shade with no shimmer and soft creamy texture,at times it looks like brown too, under my water line it does,,
as the name suggests,,glide,,it does glide smoothly.

It looks nice on my eyes, actually it suits brown eyes so I was happy :D

The texture is creamy, it does not smudge on my eyes,,but made them a bit watery.

The packaging is fine,,practical with the shade showing on the bottom of the pencil.

what the packaging states :

~ Extremely soft and outstanding smooth formula, almost like a liquid liner.
~ Easy to blend shortly after application
~ Waterproof, super longwear, no transfer and smudge-proof.

~ Shade is Prunella 05 , a very pretty purple~egg plant shade

~Its a gorgeous shade and is a nice color even for every day fun wear,, its not a office wear color but ya a fun shade for outings. I use very basic neutral shades as eye shadow on my lids, but as a liner it is a welcome change,,but then well,,who m I kiddin...m off liners as of now.
see it doesn't suit my eyes much ,, :\ I think it makes them appear small, when they are not actually.

Colorbar I-glide pencil ~ Prunella ~ pictures, review and EOTD

p.s. I threw some 26 makeup/beauty products a day before yesterday because all they had were different compounds of paraben,  I felt good , It didn't pain me.
Paraben has some connection with it being a initiator for cancer. I go numb as read/write/hear the C word. I lost someone so very special due to it few years back, the worst thing is that you don't really know how it starts,, so for this very reason I threw everything and I have thought of checking the ingredients first,,the cute packagings are no more attractive to me,,the ingredients are... :)

On a happy note :) I am on a saree spree these days :) woohoooo!!! 3 sarees in making ;) one is a new buy ~ a chiffon saree in baby pink with crystal and stone work :D , a light purple-silver saree,,much like the one Priyanka Chopra wore in Dostana , its a decent one :) and my mum's wari saree (wari is a punjabi word , it means the clothes and jewellery the groom's side collects for the bride) its a gorgeous royal blue saree in self  print with a dull silver designer palla (the one which falls down from the shoulder ; outer end of the saree) :D  :D m so happy :D , will show them once the finishing work is completed.

Okay,,this was a L O N G post :) but you know something, I treat all of you as my friends and I feel like we all are sitting at one place and listening to one another's giggles and talks :)

oh ya...
Recommendation : get this one,,even if you are just a black eyeliner girl..it will be a good start towards the colored ones.

This pencil does not have any parabens in it :)

Price ~ Around INR 375 , yep the price has increased :\
Quantity ~ 1.1 gm

Thanks

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

What Lakme has to say about this

The ultimate in definition and separation. This must have mascara delivers stunningly defined eyes. The unique brush separates and curls each lash and coats it from root to tip without ever clumping. Smudge-proof, tear proof and easily removable.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

I was using the Maybelline Colossal Mascara for around 2 years and was actually not very happy with the results as time passed by. Initially it was ok, but as I used it more and more I felt it was not actually what I want for my lashes. It clumped and did not make my lashes curl, but yes full points for making the false volume effect.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

So, when I thought of buying a new one, I was all game for the Bourjois one but somehow I went and bought the Lakme Lash Artist and I must say its one product that actually makes your lashes curl.
I had a Lakme Mascara before the Maybelline one but I don't think so it was the Lash Artist, it was something else and gave satisfactory results to me. But then the Maybelline colossal range came up and I went and bought that one.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

The positive points of the Lakme Lash Artist are :

~ It fans out my lashes beautifully.
~ No clumping on the lashes
~ I like the wand applicator, the brush is good and separates the lashes quite nicely.
~ Packaging is sturdy
~ Odor free, I dislike cosmetics with any kind of smell.
~ Gives length to the lashes
~ Easy to remove too.

The negative points of the Lakme Lash Artist :

~ Non-attractive but I can live with that ;)
~ You have to retouch the mascara after 3-4 hours.
~ No false volume effect.
~ No composition list anywhere. this freaks me out sometime,,with so much being written about cosmetics and their unhealthy composition in the newspaper these days.

Nothing major of a con actually except the missing composition list,,,, else its good value for money .

Price : 225 INR

Net volume : 6 ml

Shelf life : 2 years

Here is how it looks on my eyes.
sorry for the not so clear pictures , my camera is not working at the moment.
