Vedic Line BB Cream ~ Review and Swatch

Packaging

Nice. Practical yet nice, screw open lid withe a nozzle inside.

Ingredients

Vedic Line BB Cream ~ Review and Swatch

How to use it

Use it daily, directly or after absorption of Moisturizer, Serum or Essence. For imperfect areas apply extra layer of BB cream.

My take on it

After trying it for around 2 weeks m writing this review.
I take it as a light weight foundation with added benefits.  It is kind of a dupe for this, the latter one being discontinued I can say that those who miss that should buy Vedic Line BB Cream.
Consistency ~ Normal on the verge of being thin, easy blending with finger tips.

How I use it

I use this or Lacto Calamine to moisturize my face and then use this BB cream ; few dots all over the face and then blending them with my fingers.
Since this is the season of scorching heat you might need to set it up with powder so that it doesn't melt down. The melt down part is actually quite low , they have stated this on the tube itself.

How it looks on me

well pretty nice :) My skin is clear these days *touchwood* so I don't need any concealing (doesn't include under eye circles :\ all thanks to late night reading) , this BB cream looks natural on my skin, since it looks all natural on skin hence the "one shade fits all" rule applies here pretty well.

Vedic Line BB Cream ~ Review and Swatch

I have dry cheeks at times so almost every other  foundation looks patchy on my skin (barring few good ones), but this did not. In fact it gives a nice glow to my face which I♥.

Does it conceal ?

It conceals pretty well, the redness around the nose and cheeks gets all covered, same goes for acne scarring. I can't say how it works for active acne concealing because thankfully I have none.

Revlon Photoready Foundation ~ Review, pictures and swatches

Revlon is my favorite drug store makeup brand , well most of you must be knowing this, but this is the first time I am slightly disappointed, like how I am disappointed with the season 7 of HIMYM , love it but still made me wee bit sad :\

I bought this foundation a few weeks back and have been using it on and off since then ..

Revlon Photoready Foundation ~ Review, pictures and swatches

This is what I have to say about this.

You see something in person and then you see the same thing in a picture,,most of the times we get attracted to things which we get to see in person more than when we see it in a picture,, BUT !! with me its drastically opposite this time..

Revlon Photoready Foundation ~ Review, pictures and swatches

When I wear this foundation and see myself in mirror I find it not worthy of the 850 bucks I paid for it,, its kinda patchy looking and is hard to blend with fingers. But when you see yourself in a picture of yours with this foundation on your face you are going to love it..
I guess that is why it is called a Photoready foundation.

The shade I got is 003 Shell Coquillage and it matches my skin tone pretty well. The only thing is like,, it needs a good blending.

There is some sheen in this foundation which looks very very pretty even in day light. Its not super shimmery , it just makes my skin glow beautifully.

It is not for dry skin girls , it will make their skin look patchy, I have dry cheeks these days and even after applying a good moisturizer on to it and then wearing this foundation the dry patches were quite prominent and you never expect this from such a raved foundation.

The consistency of this foundation is slightly runny and I guess it will work best with a stippling brush.
The packaging of this product is very good, I like the pump it has, one pump is enough for your face.
It also has SPF 20 and that is borderline good for flash photography.

I like how it is not a full coverage foundation,,I feel plasticky with full coverage foundations.

Overall this is a foundation which will make your skin look perfect , all dewy and glowing in pictures,, it might make your skin look blotchy in person,,I guess its all due  to its consistency,,,

The things good ~

1. Medium coverage foundation,,yes its a good thing for me.

2. I like how it makes my skin look dewy and not sparkly!!

3. It photographs beautifully

4. Has SPF 20

5. The bottle is very handy and travel friendly

6. A pump is enough for one time application

The Things not so good ~

1. Looks blotchy when you see yourself in mirror

2. Not suitable for dry skin girls

3. Just 3 shades ~ :\

4. Hard to blend,,you need a good brush to blend it, say a stippling brush.

Price : 850 INR

Quantity : 30 ml or 1 FL. Oz.

Recommendation : Yes if you are loved by paparazzi  ;) , no If you think It can be you daily foundation. Dry skin people may find it a bit problematic.

Thanks

Best Buy January ~ Revlon Photo Ready Foundation ~ and a free gift :)

I shopped quite allot in January and at the end of it I felt like crap !! I bought things that I am going to use seldom and the worst part of it being that they were pricey. Now I am on hold on shopping for makeup and m concentrating more on accessories. (yes !! I need them.. I swear !! )

But then,  all I have been doing since a good 6-8 months was finding a good foundation for parties and likes.
Since I am going to attend a very special party in a couple of days all I wanted was a good foundation :) . I wanted to see my skin looking good but yes not too much of coverage,, in a full coverage foundation I don't find me looking like me ;) ,, so this is what I bought.. Revlon Photo ready foundation .

Best Buy January ~ Revlon Photo Ready Foundation ~ and a free gift~~~ :)

Along with it I bought a colorburst lipstick too,, its price has increased : \

So I was at the counter and the lady said ma'am the price of the lipstick has increased and I was like acha !! , but since it is not much of a price rise so I bought it, it's a different story how I have managed  to pick similar shade again.(I now have 3 similar looking shades and I am not much happy with it). :p

But yes, I got something free too.. Its a pretty floral pouch by Revlon :) :)
I don't knw what sort of offer it came with, but I got it with these two products I got.

It has one huge zipped compartment, a Velcro flap compartment and a open pocket on the back side.
I like the pattern it has,,and yes purple is my favorite color since I was like 2 or something.. :D
quality is nice and the best part is that its too roomy !! good for girls like us ;)

I will review the foundation in some time, maybe 2-3 weeks or so,,so far m loving it :) I don't look too much dolled up wearing this and also I can blend it with my fingers easily.

So, what was your best buy in January :) :)
take good care of yourself everyone :) <3

Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation

As a little girl, i used to see only one brand of makeup in those colorful cosmetic shops and that's LAKME,, our very own lakme,,

Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation

As i grew up i somehow lost my association with it and grew more towards brands that are damn good but hmmm costly if i see them as being used daily. Come back 2011, and I somehow started looking for Lakme once again, I am all for the Enrich Satin collection by Lakme but that's altogether another topic ^ ^ :):).

So, few days back I saw the Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation and bought it instantly.

~ What it says ~

Lakme invisible foundation with SPF 8 ,
Offers perfect blending and full coverage for a flawless almost invisible finish.
Water based
In shades especially created for Indian skin tone.

No list of ingredients :(

~ My take ~

Its a good foundation, doesn't provide porcelain doll like finish, but yes it does give a nice flawless coverage.
People with slight bumps in face due to acne issues might need to use a primer before using this foundation cos it does settles into skin quite well.
Has slight yellow under tones to it, which i like cos it works for my skin.
I dislike the wand applicator and use it as a bottle without any wand applicator :)
Packaging is typical Lakme :)
It remains intact on my face for around 5 hours, mine is oily and requires 2-3 times of setting it with loose powder.
Blending is easy, even if you apply it with finger tips it gives a nice finish.

I bought shade 02, don't know how many other are available :), but as the packaging says shades are created as per Indian skin tones so yayyy :) .

The things sweet ♥

♥ Provides a nice even finish.
Has SPF 8 so a added bonus
pocket friendly
Matches my skin tone perfectly
♥ stays even for a good 4-5 hours
doesn't wear down due to temperature variations

The things sour ~~

~ Packaging is bad, dislike the wand completely

The bad wand :(

Qty ~ 25 ml
Price ~ Rs. 185

blended :)

Please do give this one a try, it wont disappoint you ♥
