Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches

How happy I was when I swatched this kohl stick on my hand,, glossy black,,super pretty,,felt like my quest for the perfect black glossy kohl has finally ended!! but no,,how can I find the perfect one untill n unless I spend loads on these kohl sticks.

This is how it looks on my eyes.

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches
Read futher as to why I am so upset with it.

As per the packaging :
This soothing eyeliner is made in the traditional Ayurvedic manner, blended with pure sesame oil, sweet almond oil and extracts of eclipta alba, indian gooseberry and berberis aristata.
Nourishes the eye area and leaves the eyes sparkling. Also promotes eyelash growth

Bio Kaajal  :
Nourishing and Conditioning eye liner. Kaajal has been used since the Bronze age to protect eyes against glaring sun and irritations, and to darken eyelids for a stunning smoky look.

As per me :
I like how glossy and black this kaajal is but then it smudges like anything,,, already I am facing dark circle problems and to top that this kohl stick makes me look like I am sick or sth.
I have used it only once and am no more going to use it, so all you sweet people kindly comment on what can I do with this Kohl stick.

Shade :
Glossy Deep Black shade

Its twice as deeper as shown in the pic below :)

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches

Staying power :
It stays on water line for around 1 hour, then it has its own mood of travelling down and stays on the under eye area for as long as you don't see your face in a mirror or someone points you out that why the hell have you used kaajal underneath your eye lids :\

Ingredient List :

Biotique Naturals Bio Kaajal ~ Review and swatches
Impressive but blahh!! It smudges so no use of pondering over the seemingly  good stuff present in it.

Packaging :
Dislike,, Boring, unattractive and everytime you will swivel the bullet up the tip of the kaajal will be broken. Maybe its with the one I have but since I am not going to buy it again so I have to  tell this also.

Quantity :
.2 oz / 3 gm

Price :
INR 99

Recommendation : No please,, there are many good ones out there.

My favorite Kaajal till date :

1. Maybelline Colossal Kaajal , review here
2. Lotus Herbals Kaajal , review here

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

What Lakme has to say about this

The ultimate in definition and separation. This must have mascara delivers stunningly defined eyes. The unique brush separates and curls each lash and coats it from root to tip without ever clumping. Smudge-proof, tear proof and easily removable.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

I was using the Maybelline Colossal Mascara for around 2 years and was actually not very happy with the results as time passed by. Initially it was ok, but as I used it more and more I felt it was not actually what I want for my lashes. It clumped and did not make my lashes curl, but yes full points for making the false volume effect.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

So, when I thought of buying a new one, I was all game for the Bourjois one but somehow I went and bought the Lakme Lash Artist and I must say its one product that actually makes your lashes curl.
I had a Lakme Mascara before the Maybelline one but I don't think so it was the Lash Artist, it was something else and gave satisfactory results to me. But then the Maybelline colossal range came up and I went and bought that one.

Lakme Lash Artist ~ Review and Pictures

The positive points of the Lakme Lash Artist are :

~ It fans out my lashes beautifully.
~ No clumping on the lashes
~ I like the wand applicator, the brush is good and separates the lashes quite nicely.
~ Packaging is sturdy
~ Odor free, I dislike cosmetics with any kind of smell.
~ Gives length to the lashes
~ Easy to remove too.

The negative points of the Lakme Lash Artist :

~ Non-attractive but I can live with that ;)
~ You have to retouch the mascara after 3-4 hours.
~ No false volume effect.
~ No composition list anywhere. this freaks me out sometime,,with so much being written about cosmetics and their unhealthy composition in the newspaper these days.

Nothing major of a con actually except the missing composition list,,,, else its good value for money .

Price : 225 INR

Net volume : 6 ml

Shelf life : 2 years

Here is how it looks on my eyes.
sorry for the not so clear pictures , my camera is not working at the moment.

Lotus Herbal Natural Kajal~Product review and swatches

I have been experimenting with kajal/kohl allot, now I am not going to suggest someone a kajal which smudges like hell even if it provides glossy black shine :)
This kajal by Lotus Herbal is something that stands on the borderline of being smudgy/non-smudgy
I mean it is perfect for some and not so perfect for others but this one is definitely worthy of trying out atleast once.

Lotus Herbal Natural Kajal~Product review and swatches

My take on this Kajal

Lotus Herbal is our very own trusted brand and I never think twice while picking up products from their range and the same goes with this Kajal. The word Herbal caught my fancy when it came to experimenting with Kohl.
Ok, this kajal gives my eyes the gloss and shine which my maybelline colossal one can't even try n give :)
There is a sheen in the kajal and the color is intense jet black,,which comes only after 2-3 swipes btw..
else in one swipe it gives a normal black shade which looks more subtle.
It smudges slightly on my eyes and whenever I use it I make it a point to set some loose powder under my eyes so as to control the smudge.
Other than that there is no con with this pretty looking thing

Also I love the packaging allot,,I love it's packaging more than my maybelline one.
The material is quite sturdy and the red-black combination looks damn good. It swivels up n down the tube without any fuss or without any product clinging to the sides of the tube.

EOTD with this kajal here

Recommendation : Yes please try this one, if it smudges and you don't like to set it with loose powder then you can pick up the maybelline colossal kajal without any second thoughts, you can read my review on it here

Thanks

Maybelline ~ The Colossal Kajal

Kajal is something that people around me associate with, I started wearing kajal when I was in 9th grade,, and from that day I am hooked on to it,,and the saga is going to continue till eternity.
If someone asks me to tell one cosmetic product that I can not live without,,then without thinking even a second I will say Kajal,,

Maybelline ~ The Colossal Kajal
so since it has been like 8 years since I have been wearing kajal you can guess how many trials would I have made with the brands present in Indian Cosmetic market,,,well not many,,cos I didnt find many good brands making it,,,or if they were making it,,then it was smudgy,,messy,,irritating,,runny,,less black,,hard to apply,,easy breaking,,and what not..

come 2011,,and maybelline answered my prayers in a sweet manner and introduced The Colossal Kajal from its Colossal range.

~ What it says ~

~ Colossal care- The ultimate in care with a comination of 5 caring ingredients. Formula enriched with vitamin E soothes the eyes.

Description

Mega intensity + Mega wear for colossal striking eyes.

~ My take ~

I adore this kajal like anything, its the best I have used till date,,glides on like a dream,,blackest black color payoff,,,SMUDGE PROOF, BUDGE PROOF, DOESN'T FADE..

just one little swipe and I get jet black lined beautiful eyes, it doesnt irritate my eyes also,, I use it daily,,have packed all my other kajals in my drawers,,and life is a bliss again.
No more racoon eyes,, no more use of hankies, scrarf to clean off the smudgy eyes,,
welcome jet black colored kohled eyes, :)

~ The things sweet ~

♥ Jet black color
♥ Non-smudgy
♥ Over 6 hour plus staying power
♥ affordable like hell
♥ soft application
♥ does not irritate my eyes

~ The things sour ~

~ Complete pain to remove it off

Yes thats it,,no more issues with it... :)
