Lip balms are those cosmetic products that can be found in everyone's handbags these days. The reason being they are essential/kind of addictive/ habit/ etc etc.. :p yeahh!! we all can find reasons to justify its presence in our bags especially at times when the more essential ones like car keys, money, cheque book, cell phone go all peek a boo in the bag and these little babies are what my hands grab out from the bag instead of those :p :p ( i  sense some giggles here :D )

ok, so lets not get into that and let me tell you what I am loving right now in terms of lip balms and what has come as a sort of disappointment to me :)

Right now, apart from 2 brands that are not available in India I have only 3 lip balms from Indian mfg's with me :)
They are :
Nivea Fruity Shine Lip balm
Lotus Herbal Strawberry Lip balm
Lotus Herbal cocoa Lip balm

OK, I like this one for the shade it is. On applying slightly, it gives a light pinkish tinge on my lips which I loveee like anything, whereas the more you keep on applying the darker the shades get going to the point of it being a nice red shade.

On the aspect of it being a balm for lips I find it below average. It does not moisturise my lips at all, mine are alright and not chapped and it does nothing much so I wonder if it will really really do anything good for dry n chapped ones.

The packaging is what I like allot, its simple yet sturdy and very practical. Its twist up mechanism is what I like  and expect to be in lip balms and allot other makeup products.

Lotus Herbal Strawberry Lip Balm

I pick this one up when the cocoa one is missing somewhere. The tint it gives to my lips is slightly similar to the nivea one, albeit a bit lighter :) . It smells of strawberries (yeah genius) . I like it n my maa hates it :|

On the aspect of it being a lip balm I find it working decently on my lips making them soft and supple and nicely moisturised. Its a bit waxy to my liking but still not something that I will not mind buying again.

The packaging is what I seriously don't like a teeny tiny bit. Lip Balm in a tub :o ,, either have loads of time to sanitize your hands before pouring your finger down this tub and if you don't then look for the one below :p . I don't like using it when I am on the move, so this is for home baby !!

Lotus Herbal Cocoa Lip Therapy Lip Balm

I lub it :D
Its clear (no-no) but but soooo good :D . It smells of cocoa ,,omggg!!! I love its fragrance so sooo much ;)

As a lip balm it does wonders for my lips, make them so soft and smooth all day long, when I use this one I hardly use it twice and day and not more than that, this shows how effective this little baby is :)

As on packaging I have a love/hate thing with it, It uses the twist up mechanism BUT the product doesn't twist down at all. If its up its up, it wont go down on its own so you have to push it with your finger back inside the tube (happened with me the day I bought it) .

My Recommendation :

So, in my opinion the one that I would suggest you this winter is ,,,,, no drum rolls ;)
 Lotus Herbal cocoa lip therapy only :D


If you are struggling from dry chapped lips these cold winter days then go n grab it, you won't regret it.
Maybe like me the aroma it has will make you happy too :D weeee :D
